PM: From Now On, Roads Will Be Paved with Concrete to Ensure Long-Term Use

TAKEO: Speaking at the inauguration ceremony for the 134 km-long new section of National Road No. 3 on Wednesday morning in Tram Kak district in Takeo province, Prime Minister Hun Sen recalled the history of road construction in Cambodia, saying that in the past, the government wanted a road that was long but the thin rubber material available would not last long to facilitate travel for people.

As the use of transportation grows, so does the quality of travel. He announced that from now on, the construction of roads must be made of quality concrete with rubber to ensure its long-term use.

He said, "I hope that our people will benefit from the use of this road.”
